HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Well I cooked and cooked and then cooked some more. Dinner was great and well worth all the work to prepare it. We had my sisters Shelly and Kari here. Kari had two of her sons Nick and Shane and, her daughter Samantha here with her. We sure missed having T.J and Shawn here. My brother Mitch and his wife Christine surprised us with an after dinner visit. Granny Carolyn stopped by after her dinner at my niece Amanda's house. We had a great visit. It was Jace's birthday so we had to of course have a little celebration for him.

I just have to say

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW JACE!!!!! It will be my grandsons 1st birthday tomorrow. I can't believe he's a year old already. I spent the day with him yesterday and had a great time. He is one smart little boy, he has been walking for awhile now and has got the cutest little personality (I'm sure that comes from grandma). I love him so much. He gives hugs and kisses and calls anything smaller than him "baby"(the dogs, the cat, stuffed animals, and his little cousin Dylan) it's so cute. Great Grandma Carolyn stopped by the other night and he was there. He was showing off a few dance moves and granny got right into it and danced along with him. It was pretty funny. I LOVE YOU MY LITTLE JACER!!

Diane (My sister in law)

Today I would like to let my sister in law Diane know how much she means to me. If it weren't for her I would have never met my wonderful husband. She has been one of my very best friends for many many years and I love her tons. We shared an apartment right after I graduated and that's how I met and fell in love with her much older brother. We have shared a lot through the years and I am so thankful to have her in my life and part of my family. There's nothing better than to have a great friend become a sister. Diane is a very talented artist. you all should look at her beautiful work on her blog http://www.dianiemacdesigns.blogspot.com/. I love you Diane! Thanks for all the years of love and support.

My Girls

I would like my girls to know how thankful I am for them. I don't always tell them how much I love and appreciate them but I hope they know. They are my world, and I just can't imagine my life without them. All I ever wanted was to be a mom and although I have truly sucked at it at times, I have tried to make sure they knew they were loved. I just want them to know I thank God for giving me my 3 beautiful daughters Aubrey, Kelly and Carson. I love you!!

My wonderful Husband

Today I would like to tell my wonderful husband how thankful I am for him. He makes me laugh no matter what my mood. He is my very best friend and I don't know what I would do without him. We share everything with each other and I love him more every day. We have had our struggles through the years, but it seems every struggle makes our bond just that much stronger. We celebrated our 25th anniversary in August. I can't believe how fast the years have gone. When we were blessed with grandchildren, he showed that silly side of him that makes me feel all warm and squishy inside. I love you honeybunch!!

Thankful

I would like to let my son Brenden know how thankful I am for him. He is Barney's son from a previous marraige and we were not given the pleasure of watching him grow up. When he was 25 years old he finally came back into our lives. I was a little worried that maybe we wouldn't be what he was expecting but, he seemed to just fit. I love him tons and am so glad he is part of our family after all these years. He made our family feel complete. It has been a joy getting to know him and his family. I love you Brenden! Thanks for coming back into our lives and completing our family.

So many things to be thankful for

Today I would like to let my Mother in law know how thankful I am for her. Carolyn Abel is a vibrant and lovely person. She has always made me feel like I was part of their family. I love and cherish her like a mother and am so thankful to have her near. She stayed with us for a short time a few years ago and I was afraid it might be difficult but, I loved having her there and was sad to see her leave. She is a really great lady with a lot of class!!

Today I am thankfull for.....

I've been thinking all day about all that I have in my life to be thankful for. I am so thankful for the wonderful parents that I had. I miss them both so very much. I lost my mom in October 4, 1987, she was just 57. I was 22 years old, and a young mother of Aubrey and pregnant with Kelly when my sweet mom was taken very suddenly from us. She was a wonderful person and the best mother and grandmother ever. I wonder sometimes how different my girls might have been if she would have been here to watch them grow and been part of their lives. I think of her every single day and wish I could tell her just one more time how much I love her. I lost my dad in December 2, 2003. He had been sick and suffering with emphysema for a really long time and although I knew it was for the best, it was very hard for me. He was a great dad and grandpa. I had such an overwhelming feeling of being an orphan, I knew it was silly, I was an adult, but I still needed my dad. The summer before he died, my step-mother went to visit her son. My dad was to sick to be alone so Carson went down and spent a few days with him. She didn't want to go but Aubrey and Kelly would go down and spend the day so it wasn't quite so hard. My girls have some great memories of that time that they will treasure forever. Anyway thanks mom and dad for just being you!!
