Happy Birthday Kelly Sue!!

25 years ago today I was given a special holiday gift.

My mom had passed away just 2 months before. It was so sudden. We had no warning at all. She was ripped from us at a time when we really needed her. Our family was devastated and in need of some special healing.

When sweet Kelly was placed in my arms she filled my heart and soul with joy and happiness. My wish for her today is that she feel the same joy and happiness on her special day as I did 25 years ago. She was my love and light at a very dark time in my life...
One of the MANY reasons I love you KellBell.

Tears of JOY, LOVE, and GRATITUDE

For about the past 20 years we have done the 12 days of Christmas to someone in need of some Christmas joy and magic. We have included our kids and last year my 4 year old grandson even joined in. It gives you such a warm feeling to spread the Christmas spirit. This year because I am unemployed, we just can't do it and it has really been bothering me.

Can you imagine my surprise when there was a light tap on my door and I opened the door to this gift

along with this note

My eyes have been full of tears off and on since I opened my door. This means more to me than I could possibly put into words.

This is the most incredible time of year. No matter what you have going on in your life the magic of the season will warm those cold dark places inside if you just allow it.

THANK YOU to whoever is reminding me of what the true spirit of Christmas is all about. I needed it so much this year

New Adventures

I've always been told that when one door closes another one opens. When I lost my job, I was devastated. I had worked there for a long time and didn't know what I was going to do.

I had an opportunity drop in my lap and think I will travel down this new path to see what becomes of it.

I am training to be a bail bonds agent. It's an exciting and totally new career choice that I am totally enjoying. I'm looking forward to learning all I can about the laws and regulations that go along with this career. Hoping that it is a good fit for me.

I am pulling myself up out of the pit of despair and depression and moving forward to a new beginning! Never give up! This is a hard time to be out of work. Keep the faith, things will get better.

Dad

Nine years ago today the world lost a great man!
and
I lost my dad, my biggest supporter and my hero
I can't believe how fast the time has gone, it seems like only yesterday
Thinking of you and loving you today and every other day!
