HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY

My beautiful daughter Kelly
Well my sweet Kelly is 21 years old today. Happy Birthday sweet heart!!
I can't believe you're already 21. It seems like it was only yesterday you were my little baby girl with all those beautiful blond ringlets.
You've been through a lot in your 21 years and I know we butt heads quite often. I want you to know that I love you with all my heart and soul and I want only the very best for you.
Kelly is spending her 21st birthday in the hospital, and it looks like she's going to be there for awhile. She has a serious infection that started in her upper lip and has spread up into her cheek area. The doctor said that any infections in the face have to be treated aggressively because it can be very serious if not controlled right away. What a way to spend your birthday. I'm so sorry honey.

A Poem I came across and loved

I Believe In Santa Claus
Having faith in Santa Claus
Is not for just the young,
I know I'll keep proclaiming him
As long as I've a tongue.
And even though I see the gent
Unmasked before my eyes,
Revealing some familiar friend
Who's donned the quaint disguise,
It doesn't change my mind a bit;
I'll still believe, because
There's more than whiskers and a suit
To dear old Santa Claus;
Bright hopes there are,
And dreams come true,
Good cheer, and lots sharing
Personified by gifts of love
Within the pack he's bearing.
To call these angels "Santa Claus"
Is surely not deceiving,
And I, for one, will never scoff
But go right on believing.

Just a reminder

Christmas is almost here!!
We will of course be having our yearly Christmas Eve Bash. I am really looking forward to it. It started about 20 years ago as just a small family Christmas gathering and has grown into quite an event. Last year the weather was so bad I didn't think there would be many that showed up, but there were just as many as there is every year. I enjoy it more every year. Everyone is always so busy all year and we don't get to spend a lot of time visiting so, it means so much to me to be able to have that day together.
At Thanksgiving, Kari's son Nick brought up an old Christmas video from one of our Christmas parties. It showed Nick going around and asking everyone what they thought the true meaning of Christmas was. It was fun to see the responses. Think about that question, I do believe Nick will be asking the same question this year.
We have downsized in the size of home we are in so we may feel a little cramped but, there is always room to squeeze one more in. We are going to try and get a few games going this year. We will have Bingo going on and there will be prizes to win. Carson suggested Apples to Apples so I am on the look out for that game. If you can think of any suggestions please let me know. If you would like to bring something feel free, if not that's fine to. If you don't have our address call or email me and I will get it to you.
I hope to see you all there!!!

Dylan's first hair cut

Aubrey and I took Dylan down to get his very first hair cut today. He was so good, he just sat still and smiled the whole time. Getting ready. This is the before shot.
What a good boy. The girl cutting his hair was so cute with him. He really liked her.
TA DA!!! What a handsom little man.

My Dad

I spent the day yesterday trying to figure out why I was feeling a little glum. There was really no reason for it that I could think of. Then it dawned on me it was 5 years since my dad had passed away. I miss my dad every day. I can't believe it has been 5 years, time has flown by. Any way this is just a little remembrance of him.

COUNT DOWN TO CHRISTMAS!!

This is my favorite time of year.
This is our pretty tree
As soon as Thanksgiving dinner was done Aubrey pulled out all the Christmas decorations and put the tree up. Barney got started on the outside decorations Sunday.

Our Christmas Village

I got up early Friday and went shopping. I got a few presents and Kari bought out the stores. Aubrey spent hours wrapping for Kari.
Kari and her kids were here all weekend. It was sure nice visiting with her, we hadn't seen her since T. J. and Alisa's wedding the first part of October and she was so busy we didn't really get to visit.
My sis Diane gave me this award the other day.
Thanks Dianie!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Well I cooked and cooked and then cooked some more. Dinner was great and well worth all the work to prepare it. We had my sisters Shelly and Kari here. Kari had two of her sons Nick and Shane and, her daughter Samantha here with her. We sure missed having T.J and Shawn here. My brother Mitch and his wife Christine surprised us with an after dinner visit. Granny Carolyn stopped by after her dinner at my niece Amanda's house. We had a great visit. It was Jace's birthday so we had to of course have a little celebration for him.
waiting patiently for his cake "I WANT CAKE!!"
What a cute cake Aunt Diane decorated for Jace
"This is the best!!"
"Is this for me?" "YUM YUM" Dilly Bob loved his Thanksgiving feast
Carson, Nick, Shane and Samantha
All tuckered out
Hangin onto those balloons
"Look grandpa"
"WOW!! look what I got!"
