I couldn't let the day go by without giving a shout out to one of the classiest ladies I know!!

it's my mother in law Carolyn's birthday today!! 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET LADY!!

I am so thankful to have her in my life. I couldn't ask for a better mother in law. There are so many that struggle with their in laws, I have been blessed with a wonderful mother in law that I love with all my heart!!

Geeze~A~Loo I do this a lot!! Then I go look in the fridge and cupboard and think to myself...'We have NOTHING to make a meal out of'...well here is the best helper EVER!!!

you just select the items you have on hand and it gives you different options and recipes using those items....WOOT WOOT this will make my life SOOOOO much easier!

A long day!

We had to have Kelly to the hospital bright and early for surgery. She was a little nervous but I think the thought of feeling better made her a bit excited too.

Here she is in her party hat all ready to go!

The doctor said everything went really well! YAY!! 

While he had the camera in there he took a look around. He said everything looks great and he's confident that she won't have any more problems. That was sure good news!!

She's sore but moving around really good. I'm sure she will be good as new in no time!!

This is COOL!!

OK!! I admit it...I am soooo hooked on Pinterest. It is an amazing place where I can get lost for hours!

I was wandering around in Pinterest Land this morning and came across a website that is a random craft tutorial generator. I found some pretty cool craft ideas that I want to try!!

HOLY FREEZIN' BATMAN!!

I guess I got a little spoiled with all the beautiful weather this winter. When I woke up early this morning and stepped outside the freezing breeze hit my face and I lost my breath for a second!

For someone that really can't take the cold I live in the WRONG place!! It seems like the older I get the more it gets to me. I feel like it seeps into every joint and stiffens them up!

OK, I am done whining for now...well at least on my blog. I'm sure I'll whine to anyone that will listen to me throughout the day though..LOL

Now, the reason for this post...I just wanted to ask for a favor. My daughter is having a few minor health issues and could use a few prayers or good thoughts sent her way. Her gallbladder has decided it doesn't like her much and she's been having pretty severe attacks for almost a week and to top that off,  they think she tore her esophagus slightly while vomiting so they may have to do a scope just to make sure it is not a bleeding ulcer. My poor baby! She does have an appointment with a great doctor today so they can decide if and when surgery will be needed.

It's a special little boy's Birthday!!!

4 YEARS OLD!!

Soooo, Dylan called me this morning and this was our conversation
Gramma: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYL!! WOW 4 years old!!
Dylan: yes it IS my birthday…You have to come here!
Gramma: I wish I could sweetheart but, I can’t. You’re too far away
Dylan: Yes you can! Just go to the airporch (that's how he says it..LOL) and get on an airplane
Gramma: I really wish I could do that honey…I can’t but we could skype so I can watch you open your presents later
Dylan: BUT GRAMMA….WE WILL GO TO THE AIRPORCH AND PICK YOU UP!

Damn it! I so wish it was that easy….I want to be in Florida today : (

It seems like only yesterday I held you in my arms!

Ohhh what to do...what to do

Well, I must say I've been feeling a little bit lost not doing a daily post.

I thought I would breath a little easier not fretting over what I should post and then getting it typed up and posted! it was sometimes a wee bit stressful.

I MISS IT!!

I keep waiting for something to go on in my quiet little life that is blog worthy....LOL Blog worthy? what the heck does that even mean.

Well, I decided that I'm just gonna have to work on making my life a creative...blog worthy kind of life so I can post more.

I have tried to come up with different ideas for different days of the week but....well, I am just not good at that sort structure and organization. I have to be able to write from the heart or it just doesn't work for me.

I have decided to set a goal of posting at least 3 times a week about something...or nothing...who knows what will appear

Well, this morning started out like any other weekday morning. We got up early and had coffee together before getting ready and off to work.

Barney leaves at 5:00 AM and then I start getting ready for my day. Not long after he left my phone rang. Which isn't all that unusual. Sometimes he thinks of something he forgot to tell me before he left and calls. Today he called to say he had to turn around and was headed back home. 

When I asked why, he said that he had hit a HUGE hawk as he was driving down the freeway and broke his windshield.

OH MY GOSH!! I didn't realize how much damage a bird could do until he got back home and I saw it!

NOT A GOOD WAY TO START YOUR DAY!!

Aubrey's New Year Blessing

We stayed up late and tried to sleep in this morning but...That dang phone kept ringing. Finally after about the third call realized that I was going to have to get up and answer.

It was Aubrey and she was crying. I asked her if she was OK...and when she told me she was crying because of a dream I prodded her to tell me about it.

She couldn't remember all the details but she remembered that something had happened and my whole family was there. She said we were all upset and sad about something. We were all sitting together  talking and she heard someone coming, when she looked up my mom and dad (her grandparents) were coming through the gate. 

My mom passed away in 1987 when Aubrey was only 2, she doesn't remember her my dad passed away in 2003 and Aubrey has always missed him so very much.
She said in her dream she knew they had passed away.

She said grandma sat down next to her, placed a hand on each cheek and kissed her softly on the forehead. She said when she thinks about it now that she's awake she can still feel the warmth and comfort that the kiss and gentle touch gave her. She said Grandpa was so happy and that she had never seen him that happy before. 

She told me that she woke up missing them so much and she could understand how she could miss grandpa but she doesn't remember her grandma...how could she miss her so? 

I believe that they are always near and when we need them they come to us and give comfort. Aubrey has been feeling a bit homesick and I think they came to her to let her know that she will NEVER be alone. She can't quit crying but they are good tears. She has a warm and loving feeling that has come over her. She said it was so strong that it's overwhelming.

I say WOW!! What a great way to start the New Year!! I believe it was a blessing for my sweet Aubrey!

I couldn't help myself, I had to jump right on here and post something about her experience. It was so heartwarming to know that my mom (the most wonderful, kindhearted, loving person I ever knew) is still watching over my family!!
