Aubrey and Dylan are finally coming home

I will be going to the airport tomorrow to pick up Aubrey and Dylan WOOOHOOO. I am so excited to see them.
Aubrey is planning to move to Florida in a month or two, so I'm going to try to get some special Dillybob time in before they go. It's going to be very difficult for me to cut those apron strings. I know that is where they belong so, I'm all for the move (trying hard to convince myself) I'm sure I will adjust but, it will be rough for the first little while. I guess I better get saving for my florida vacation!!

I love you and I Wish You Enough

I got this in an e-mail from by brother and had to share. I think this will become my new saying
~I WISH YOU ENOUGH~
At an airport I overheard a father and daughter in their last moments together. They had announced her plane's departure and standing near the door Her father said "I wish you enough." She looked at him and said, "Daddy, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Daddy." They kissed good-bye and she left. He walked over toward the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?" "Yes, I have," I replied. Saying that brought back memories I had of expressing my love and appreciation for all my Dad had done for me. Recognizing that his days were limited, I took the time to tell him face to face how much he meant to me. So I knew what this man was experiencing. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?" I asked. "I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is, her next trip back will be for my funeral, " he said. "When you were saying good-bye I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?" He began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone." He paused for a moment and looking up as if trying to remember it in detail, he smiled even more. "When we said 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with enough good things to sustain them," he continued and then turning toward me he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory:
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye."
He then began to sob and walked away.
My friends and loved ones, I WISH YOU ENOUGH!!!
They say, "It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them."

Thoughts and Prayers

This is my sweet little great nephew Kasen. He is 17 months old and has been going through some scary things for such a little boy. Sunday, January 11, 2009 he suffered a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. They sent him down to Primary Children's hospital and that is where his journey has begun. Kasen was diagnosed with a fixed splits2 and a left ventricular hypertrophy but they are still doing other tests, so I'm not sure if there is more to it or not. His grandma started a blog to help keep all his family and friends updated on his progress. You can view it at kasensjournal.blogspot.com
I have been thinking about him a lot and I worry about his mom and dad too. I know it is frustrating when all you can do is worry and wait and then worry and wait some more while the doctors and nurses run test after test after test.
I am not the most religious person as you know, but I do believe in the power of prayer and I am asking anyone who reads this to stop for just a minute and say a little prayer for Kasen and his sweet family.
To the Jorgensen family (Rob, Amanda, Jasmine and of course Kasen) I love you with all my heart. May you have patience, strength and most of all love to help you through your journey.

Thinking Back

I've been thinking back to years past a lot lately for some reason.
I never dreamed my life would turn out the way it did. There have been ups and there have been downs, but I don't think I would trade it for anything. With every struggle Barney and I have been through (and there have been a lot), it seems our love and commitment to each other has grown stronger.
I have lost people that were very close to me and felt the agonizing grief of trying to make it through and in the end been able to find joy in the memories I hold in my heart.
My mom once told me that God never gives you more than you can handle. There have been times in my life when I truly thought my mom was soooooooooooo wrong about that yet, here I am still moving forward (I guess she was right after all)
Someone else told me once that no matter what life brings and no matter how dark the tunnel seems at times, keep going because sooner ore later you WILL see the light at the end. Sometimes I have felt like I will never see that light, but that's just not true. I know that now and wow!! what a relief! All I have to do is look at my kids and my grandkids and there is the light leading me in the right direction.
I have so much to be thankful for in my life and yet I still find myself letting the little things that bother me get me down. I've decided to try to plant a smile on my face every morning and remember all the wonderful things going on in my life instead of focussing in on the dumb little things that drive me crazy. My girls asked me if I'm starting to go through menopause because I'm so moody(laughing one minute and crying the next) What the heck is that all about.
I want my family to know that I love them very very much and appreciate them (most of the time anyway)
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year filled with Health, Love and Happiness.
