Busy Weekend

Friday we took off for a fun day at the splash park in Riverdale. what an AWESOME park. the boys had a great time playing with their cousin Max and I had a great time visiting with family.

As soon as we were finished at the park, we hit the road south to Cedar City for a funeral. My grandparents are buried in the Cedar Cemetery and we hadn't been there for years. We had to look around a bit but we found them! Six of us siblings made it to the funeral. It was great seeing family we haven't seen for years and years.

We got home Saturday evening and I began have abdominal pain. It kept getting worse as time went on so finally Sunday morning when it got to be to much, we headed to the hospital. They ran some tests then scheduled me for an ultrasound this morning. I got finished with that just in time to take our sweet Dylan to Ogden to another hospital to get his tonsils out...He was so brave and sooooo good. No tears at all and only 3 ouches when they removed the tape holding his IV.

Now it's time to get back to normal life for awhile...depending on the results of my tests. They are thinking gallbladder...UGHHH I don't need that right now

Never a dull moment around here!

I will be attending my great Aunt's funeral this weekend. When I received the call that she had passed I found myself reminiscing and remembering memories of HUGE family reunions as a young girl, I can just imagine the reunion going on in heaven today! 

 Does your family still have reunions? I always LOVED them...It has been years and years for our family. My siblings and I try to have a family get together once or twice every year but, it's usually just our immediate family...Maybe we need to try and expand that. 

Aunt Utahna was my maternal grandmother's sister but was only 2 years older than my mom. My mom was very close to her.

My aunt was the last of 11 siblings and with her death a generation ended.

Looking at this picture, I can see my grandma...but...I can also see my mom. It brings a small tear to my eye.

I miss him so very much and think of him every day. He was such a great man who taught me so many different things. How to live, how to laugh and how to love with all my heart. His family was his number one priority at all times.

Aubrey and Dylan arrived Tuesday!!

Jace was so excited to have his cousin and best buddy back here, he was all smiles as we waited and waited and.....WAITED for their plane to arrive.

Her flight was delayed and arrived an hour late.

It was worth the wait!!

 As soon as Jace saw them coming, he was on a dead run to get to them. Dylan ran towards him once he saw him, then they both came running back to give all of us our hello hugs, kisses and smiles!

OH HOW I MISSED THEM!!
