Are you ready for some LOVE?

As I have pondered about this challenge I have decided for myself that it would work well with my children as well as my husband. I am going to include them in this challenge. I am so excited to see the outcome and hope to hear about others experiences as well (if anyone out there decides to join me on this journey.)

I have lived a life that has been full of love and laughter but there have also been a lot of fears and tears along the way. I truly believe that life's struggles can bind a family together or they can break it. I'm not really a religious person but I do feel like I'm a spiritual person with a very strong belief in God. After reading as much as I could find on this 40 day Love Dare I know it's based on the basic teachings and principles of the bible.I like that!

Good Luck to all that join me!!

One last thought as we begin

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.”                  1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Hope you will join me~~

Issuing a challenge to anyone and everyone

I was thinking about hosting a challenge in the name of LOVE to celebrate the upcoming Valentines Day Holiday. I got online as I always do when I am brainstorming an idea. I typed "Love Challenge" into the search engine hoping to find a few ideas. I came across this 40-Day Love Dare Challenge... I clicked of course and it took me to a site promoting the movie FIREPROOF I watched the trailer and must say I really really REALLY want to watch this movie. I'm going to look for it this weekend.

In the movie FIREPROOF, a couple dares to rescue their choking marriage from the flames of divorce and temptation using "The Love Dare" book as a guide.

. This daily devotional steers you through the challenge of developing a strong, committed marriage in a world that threatens to burn it to the ground.

I did some more research and decided ...

THIS WOULD BE MY LOVE CHALLENGE
Hope you will join me.

Things are really good in my marriage. I have been married to my best friend for almost 28 years, but I believe any relationship can be improved. The saying if it’s not broke, don’t fix it does not apply to relationships. Relationships need maintenance. Sometimes I get so busy that I get unbalanced. Therefore, my husband falls on my list of priorities. I owe it to my husband to do the Love Dare. I’m up for the challenge! Are you? Join my 40-day Love Dare challenge. Based on the Love Dare book from the movie Fireproof, the challenge will be a practical way for you to practice unconditional love and transform your marriage by applying simple principles to your everyday life.

This Challenge will start Tuesday February 1st. Each morning I will post the Love Dare for that day. I hope that you will help spread the word so that we can get a lot of participants. I'm very excited to try this.
I'd also love to have you come back and comment on how you accomplished your dare...was it hard for you? did your significant other look at you strangely wondering what you were up to? I hope that this will be a fun way to reach out and maybe make a few new friends...and....who knows, it just might make a difference in your relationship

Sending Love and Light your way!
Check back Tuesday Morning for your first Love Dare!!!

MOVING!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

Well, we found the cutest little farmhouse that will feel like a mansion after living in our tiny little closet of a house for the past two years. I am so happy to be moving into a place where I will be able to have people come over to visit. The past 2 years have been pretty rough and we decided to make a few sacrifices so that we could get our lives back in order (well somewhat anyway)...I am VERY glad to see the light at the end of this tunnel!

Inspiration

A few weeks before Christmas I was trying to come up with something for my great~niece's first birthday. A girl I work with stopped by my office and was selling hats that she had made. She's a single mom and was trying to make some extra Christmas money. She pulled out some of the cutest hats I had EVER seen so I snatched one up (while thinking "Hey I think I could do that") My youngest daughter had decided she wanted to learn to knit and told me she learned by watching tutorials on you tube...OMH I had to check out this You Tube right away!!! I went with crocheting because it looked easier but I do plan on trying the knitting thing soon. I tried my hand at a scarf first and it turned out pretty cute...I am now spening a great deal of time crocheting and watching tutorials on you tube...I have made a few items that were flops and had to be taken apart but, I have made a few things that I think have turned out to be pretty stinkin' cute. I have even come up with a few ideas all on my own.....WOWZER!That is TRULY amazing for me! There are a few pictures on my crafty blog  and I will be posting some more tonight. I hope you will all join me on my new creative path along with my many other creative interests and maybe even help me along with some new exciting ideas!! lindascreativeniche.blogspot.com
