Mother's Day Series

Beginning tomorrow and running through may 13th (Mother's Day), I am going to do a Celebration of Motherhood series.

I hope you will join me as I take a look at the joy, hardship, love, and every other aspect I can think of that motherhood brings.

Have a beautiful day!!

What a LONNNNNNG Week!

My week started off with me being tired because of my fun in Park City weekend. Monday and Tuesday were busy work days, so no rest for the wicked (me).

Carson got a tattoo started on her arm in memory of her grandpa, it's going to be incredible when it's finished!!
It says "Time stops for no one"
Her grandpa had a love of pocket watches
This will make me think of my dad every time I look at it.
This is right after they were done with the outline. Her poor arm was so red.

Wednesday bright and early I had to take Kelly to the hospital for a scope. What they thought was kidney stones was starting to look like it was probably something else.
They did 3 biopsies and have decided that her trouble is that her liver is over producing bile. She had her gallbladder out in January and now all that extra bile is pouring into her stomach. She is going to have to live with this problem forever...poor girl! They did give her some medication that she has to drink 3 times a day to coat her stomach. YUCKY!!

I also got to babysit my sweet little Jace while Carson worked. She dropped him off at the hospital just before we got to take KellBell home.

I was really hoping to catch a little nap but it just didn't happen. Barney went to work Wednesday morning came home for a few hours then had to go back and work graveyard....I just can't seem to sleep without him next to me so needless to say I was ornery and sleepy all day yesterday! At work it seemed that no matter what I did I screwed it up. I spent more time fixing all my mistakes than I did doing any actual work...I hate when that happens.

I did get some sleep last night so I feel much better today...Just in time for the weekend....

Just had to share a couple of pictures of Kelly, Carson and Jace....They had themselves a mustache party last weekend while we were gone...They are strange kids but I sure am glad they are mine!!
 I love them to pieces!!

WOOT WOOT!! HaPpY fRiDaY PeEpS!!!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Rest and Relaxation?

That was the plan for the weekend...It didn't quite work out that way though. We took off Friday evening for Park City to spend time with family and just relax. We had a fantastic time but there wasn't a whole lot of rest.

We stayed in a beautiful condo and enjoyed visiting with my sisters, yummy food and lots of shopping.

Saturday morning we went to do one of our favorite things.... YARD SALES! We couldn't find any in Park City so we made our way to Heber and found some treasures there! Then we met up with Shelly and Cheryl and had a bite to eat before checking out the outlet stores...I had never been to them before and I must say I was very impressed!

We had such a great time and I can't wait to do it again!!

My Poor Little KellBell

I was at work yesterday and got a call from one of the girls that Kelly goes to school with. She said Kelly was being taken to the emergency room and they didn't know what was wrong with her. I told her I would be there as soon as I could get someone to cover for me at work.

When I got down there, they were thinking it was her appendix and were getting her ready for a CT scan. She was in an awful amount of pain. Once the tests came back they could see it wasn't her appendix and started to try and come up with another explanation for her pain. The ER doctor was stumped so he called in a specialist and he felt that she had kidney stones. He wanted to admit her so they could try and keep her pain under control but she was NOT having it. He agreed to let her go home, wrote a prescription and sent her on her way. She is still hurting pretty bad and is sure they are wrong about what is going on with her. I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

Love you KellBell!
Hope the pain is over soon!

My Florida Kidlets

Aubrey and Nick finally decided to break down and get a more suitable family ride. Wednesday they started looking and ended up going home in this!

a cute little Honda Pilot

Dylan LOVES it!

Aubrey called me last night sobbing. She said Nick and Dylan had just run up to the gas station while she finished up dinner. They had been gone about an hour and Nick had left his phone home. She had a horrible feeling because when Nick had made this same trip in the past he was only gone 10 minute at the most.

Those that know my sweet Aubrey know that once she goes into panic mode there is no way to calm her down. She had heard sirens and just knew they had been in an accident. I tried my best to assure her everything was alright but I wasn't helping. The more time that went by the more hysterical she became. I finally told her to call Nick's dad or someone that was closer to see if they could maybe go look for Nick and Dylan along the way. She did that and before anyone got very far her sweet guys got home.

They HAD been in an accident...a tow truck pulling a car rear ended them while they were stopped at a red light. They are both okay and that little Pilot doesn't really look like it has too much damage. Sad that it happened the day after they got it though.

Welcome Spring

Oh my!! I just love this time of year... sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and just enjoying the warmth.
Everything is starting to come to life. It's just beautiful.
It's time for family BBQ's and get togethers in the mountains. I am really looking forward to spending more time outside.

I have lots of plans for this year and I just may finish some of them. I am one of those people with all the good intentions but find myself daydreaming the days away A LOT!!! Oh well, if I get at least a few things on my list crossed off I will be happy.

Hope you all have a fantastic day enjoying the sunshine!!

There's nothing better

Today was such a great day! I got to spend the day with family and to me there is nothing better than that! My niece Kristen has become the hostess with the mostest in our family. I held that position for a long time and when I couldn't do it anymore I was so glad that she stepped in and happily took the position.

We enjoyed yummy food and great company! Thanks Kristen for all you do to keep the family get togethers going.

Easter weekend is here!

Today I began thinking about my Easter post and what Easter means to me. Does it mean a new spring outfit, beautiful colored eggs, a big bunny, a basketful of candy....As I thought back I came to the conclusion that it means different things to us as we grow and move through the different phases of our lives.

To me it represents hope.
Hope for a new beginning, a tomorrow, another chance.

Hope can light a path that seemed impossible to pass. Hope is a gift that God gives us over and over again, unconditionally.

Stop and look around you this Easter, take in the spring thaw as the dismal landscape becomes beautiful with trees budding and flowers rising from the cold hard ground. There's a celebration all around us as the world awakens from a long winter's nap. When I look around and see the beauty of mother nature, I believe it's God's way of letting us know he is with us, that he created this beautiful life just for us. It's a renewed hope of a promising tomorrow.

I am not overly religious but, I have a deep belief in God and I know in my heart that Christ died for each and every one of us. I came across this Bible verse today. I LOVED it and just thought I'd share it with you.

Isaiah 40:31
"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Sending all my love to you this wonderful Easter weekend.
May you find a renewed hope in your life!

Fabulous Weekend Adventure

My weekend started off Friday as soon as I got off work.
I'm sure you all heard about the mega million lottery being 640 million. We of course headed to Idaho after work and stopped a couple of places. The lines were sooooo long we just kept going north. We finally bought our tickets in Pocatello. We had dinner and then headed for home.
We didn't win the big bucks but we did win $7.00
WOOT WOOT!!

Saturday morning we got up and went to a few yard sales. We found some pretty great treasure!! I really do LOVE this time of year!

Then, we decided to take off and go for a ride. We ended up in Wendover. It was a much needed break and I had a great time just being with my sweet Barney.

Our ride over there was a bit scary in a couple of spots. The wind was blowing so hard and at one point in the distance we could see a dust cloud that looked pretty bad. We had no idea what we were driving in to.

Here is a picture as we were approaching the dust

another view of it

And....there we were. It was horrible!! Cars were pulled off to the side, and those that didn't pull over were going about 15-20 miles an hour through this. It scared me to death and I was very glad when we made it through it!

Thanks to my sweetheart for the wonderful weekend!!

Now, on to my nine day cleanse. I measured and weighed this morning and here are my final results
I lost a total of 10.8 lbs and a whopping 27.75 inches from this big old body of mine including 4.5" off my waist and 5.5" off my abdomen...That is VERY impressive to me!!
I am going to continue on this journey but will do monthly updates now.

Have a beautiful day full of sunshine!!
