Alan takes such great pictures! When I decided I really wanted family pictures taken while Aubrey was here, I asked him if he would mind doing it. I was so happy that he agreed.

Barney and Alan's Birthday

What a great day it was. Saturday was Barney's birthday and Alan's is Wednesday. Diane and I decided to throw a joint party up in the mountains. Diane made the cake and it was PERFECT for the old guys. We had all our kids and grandkids there and had such a great time. Diane and I made up about 30 hobo dinners and off we went to the hills.
I love spending time with family and was so glad we did this.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARNEY AND ALAN!!!
I hope you had as much fun as I did!!!

Yesterday....A BAD DAY!

I got a phone call at work. It was my sister Kari. She frantically informed me that my brother Mitch had been taken to the emergency room and they were going to life flight him to University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake. He was bleeding into his brain.
OH NO!! I panicked!
I left work immediately and headed for the hospital. I don't know what I was expecting to find when it was finally my turn to go into the room and see him but, I was happy to see he was alert and joking regardless of the extreme headache he was suffering.
The type of leukemia he has affects the platelets in his blood (which is what makes your blood clot) there should be hundreds of thousands in you blood. His had dropped to 3,000 ...........EXTREMELY critical. They think that might be the reason for the bleeding. I am still pretty confused about what exactly they do for this. I know they were pumping platelets into him and had him in ICU so they could watch him closely. That's ALL I know. It's so frustrating and scary for me. I am soooo worried about him and his family and feel so helpless...(SIGH) ok I feel better now.
I think I can put that smile on my face and resume the positive attitude awhile longer.

Prayer Request

Well I just found out that my brother Mitch's blast count is over 12 %. This is NOT good. He is going back in the hospital Saturday for a more aggressive chemo while he waits for the transplant doner to come through.
I am so freakin' worried about him! The only bright spot is he doesn't really feel sick.
My niece Amanda is going through her own health problems and is in a lot of pain most of the time. She has been diagnosed with severe hydronephrosis She's on bed rest and we're all hoping that when gets through this and that beautiful baby girl is in her arms healthy and pink she forgets all the pain she has gone through to get her here.
I know I have asked for prayers before but, once again I am asking. I know that prayer will bring some comfort to these two that I LOVE so very much.
I am sending
LOVE AND LIGHT
with all my might!!
