Getting back to it!

I was so sad in August when I had to leave my long time job for another opportunity. It was an extremely hard but well thought out decision. I held on as long as I could hoping that something would give but I finally had to do what I felt was best in my situation. I reluctantly gave notice to my boss and let her know that if anything changed and a more stable full time position opened up to please keep me in mind. I wasn't counting on anything but I left with a small glimmer of hope that one day I just might get to go back to what I know best.

I had settled in to my new job and although I didn't hate it, it was definitely not my dream job. I worked with some great people and made a decent wage.

The first part of the month I was enjoying my day off, my phone rang and when I answered it was my previous employer....WHAT? She said that they had a girl quit and asked if I would be interested in rejoining their team....well HECK YES I would! We talked a little about when they would need me to start and steps that they were required to take in order to hire me. I gave notice at my current job and began the process of going back where I felt I belonged.

On my last day of work at the other job I received a phone call. OH NO!! there had been a glitch in the process. Panic set in and all I could think was that I had just quit a job and now I was going to be unemployed!!

I was told they were trying to get everything taken care of but I was truly ill about it for the next four days.... waiting and waiting and waiting.

On that next Monday afternoon I finally got the call and was told to go ahead and get my drug test done and Thursday morning I got the call to start working.....WOWZER was I ever relieved to hear that good news.

I started work last Friday and am LOVING every minute of it. The job is 5 minutes from home and it's back where I started when a began working for this company. It has been like going home!

The past 3 or 4 years have been a roller coaster ride that as much as I wanted to get off it just didn't slow down enough for me to jump. It's been a very long rough patch but I'm hopeful that things will start looking up if I can just have a little more patience. The peaceful feeling of security is starting to return THANK GOODNESS!!
